Samba, July 14: In a firm action against illegal encroachments, the District Administration Samba, in collaboration with Samba Police, conducted a large-scale anti-encroachment drive at Bela Manohar, leading to the demolition of an unauthorized structure and the retrieval of Government land.
The operation was undertaken under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan, and was jointly supervised by Additional Commissioner Revenue Ajay Bharti and Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) GR Bhardwaj. The drive was executed by Tehsildar Gourav Sharma, DySP Headquarters Sumit Sharma, along with officials of the Revenue Department and Samba Police.
During the operation, authorities demolished an illegally constructed structure reportedly standing on Government land. The encroached land was successfully reclaimed through coordinated efforts of the Revenue Department and Police. The drive was completed peacefully with adequate security arrangements in place.
Officials reiterated that the administration is adopting a zero-tolerance approach towards illegal occupation of public land. They emphasized that action against encroachments will be carried out strictly in accordance with the law, without any discrimination.
The District Administration also urged citizens to avoid unauthorized occupation of Government land and to support ongoing efforts aimed at protecting public assets. Officials affirmed that similar anti-encroachment drives will continue across Samba district to safeguard Government property and strengthen the rule of law.
