JAMMU, July 27: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, Shri Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, hosted a ceremonial function to bid a warm farewell to Shri Shashank Anand, IPS, the outgoing Inspector General of BSF Jammu Frontier, on his transfer. The occasion also marked the formal welcome of Shri Asif Jalal, IPS, who has assumed charge as the new Inspector General of BSF Jammu Frontier.<\/p>\n
The event witnessed the presence of several senior civil, police, military and paramilitary officers, underscoring the strong spirit of coordination among security and administrative agencies in the region.<\/p>\n
Among those present were Major General Ajit M. Yeole, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 26 Infantry Division; Shri Ramesh Kumar, IAS, Divisional Commissioner Jammu; Shri Amol V. Homkar, IPS, Inspector General, CRPF Jammu Sector; all Range Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) of Jammu Zone; and senior officers from the Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Jammu & Kashmir Police, and the Civil Administration.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Jammu conveyed his appreciation for the valuable contributions made by Shri Shashank Anand during his tenure and wished him success in his future responsibilities. He also extended a warm welcome to Shri Asif Jalal, expressing confidence that his leadership would further strengthen cooperation and coordination among security forces in the region.<\/p>\n
The gathering reflected the enduring commitment of all stakeholders towards maintaining peace, enhancing border security, and ensuring effective inter-agency coordination in the Jammu region.
